Roadplan Consulting Ltd. provides engineering consultancy services in road design, road safety and transportation assessment. Roadplan Consulting Ltd. are currently seeking a Design/Project Engineer to join its team. Candidates must hold a minimum Level 8 Honours Degree Qualification in Civil Engineering (a Level 9 Masters Degree would be an advantage) accredited by Engineers Ireland or equivalent qualification with up to 5 years’ experience ideally in the area of civil engineering/roads/transportation projects.

Duties and Responsibilities
As a member of the team, you will work in an intermediate engineering role under the direction of our Directors and other senior individuals in the Company. Candidates will be required to undertake the following duties:
    • Preparation and review of feasibility/preliminary designs and reports using various software and subsequent preparation of preliminary/detailed design drawings and specifications. Comprehensive operation of AutoCAD 2D is a basic requirement.
    • Assist in the preparation of preliminary and contract drawings using alignment design packages such as MX Roads or Civil 3D. Experience in same is preferable.
    • Coordination & liaison with Clients, Stakeholders and Local/Regulatory Authorities.
    • Assist in the procurement of Sub-consultants, site investigations and roads Contracts including preparation of pricing schedules and bills of quantities.
    • Assist in the preparation, administration and assessment of tenders.
    • Assist in the administration of the construction contracts to ensure that design requirements, project schedules and project budget are achieved.
