The Safepass with Patio laying and Groundworks at Kerry College is a new course beginning in 2023.
Work on construction sites without being a danger to yourself or others and learn the basics of laying a patio and basic ground working skills.
This course will provide the applicant with the skills, knowledge and attitudes to work safely on a construction site. They will also be able to lay a garden patio and complete basic groundwork tasks.
This course will take place on Monday and Tuesday for 10 weeks from 6.30 pm-9.30 pm
The 1 day Safepass course will take place on a Saturday

- Patio Laying to include Laying slabs, Flags and Paving bricks
- Kerb Laying
- Accident reporting and emergency procedures
- Accident prevention Health & hygiene Techniques for lifting & carrying
- Working safely at heights, underground services and overhead electric cables
- Using hand-held equipment, personal protective equipment, vehicles & mobile plant and excavations & confined spaces
- Health and safety at work regulations
