The recently published Programme for Government sets out ambitious decarbonisation targets which will require radical changes to how we live our lives. As the impacts of COVID-19 pandemic continue to have enormous economic and social impacts, national and EU recovery plans are being developed to avoid the worst effects of this crisis. At this juncture, we are provided with an opportunity to choose “green” recovery and to build the low carbon economy for the future.

This online CPD event will provide members with the opportunity to understand what a low carbon economy looks like for Ireland alongside the types low carbon engineering projects being considered and how to foster community engagement to make sure they can be delivered.
